February 21, 2018

STUDENTS - February is college and career month.  Every day of the month we have scheduled to have a guest speaker to come and take time away from their employment to come talk to you.  The goal is to help you become aware of jobs that exist.  I challenge you to give up your lunchtime just once to attend at least one presentation in February.  So grab your lunch and eat it quickly or bring your lunch to the library as we will start 15 min after lunch starts.  If you attend you will have the opportunity to win a $5 gift card that day and also be entered into a drawing to win a Movie Gift card, Beats ear buds, or Echo dot speaker.  Today we will have the opportunity to hear from Auto Mechanic and Fabricator, Chase Crawford.

COLLEGE AWARENESS NIGHT - Stanislaus County Office of Education is offering a free College Awareness Night tomorrow evening at Turlock High School.  Representatives from colleges, universities, technical schools and community organizations will be there to share information about their institutions.  For more information, pick up a flyer in the office.

7TH GRADE STUDENTS - If you are a seventh grader and you think you might-possibly-maybe-perhaps be interested in taking Pre-AP English next year, please attend an informational meeting in room D7 on Thursday. Bring your lunch and eat while Ms. Hawksworth gives you an overview of what the class includes (hint: there's no torture). This meeting is for students currently enrolled in seventh grade Pre-AP English and for those students who are not but think they might be interested.

ATTENTION ALL 7TH & 8TH GRADE STUDENTS - Today at lunch our campus Christian club will be meeting during both lunch periods. Everyone is welcome. Bring your lunch and we’ll see you there.

WRESTLERS - In order for you to be eligible to wrestle in Saturday's tournament, you must weigh in right after school on Friday.  Wrestlers will meet in the front lobby of the gym to weigh in right after school.  Please make sure you come and weigh in, even if you cannot make practice on Friday.

7TH GRADE STUDENTS - You have until February 28th to purchase your 7th grade t-shirt. Cost is 12.00. Please take payments to the business office F1 before it's too late.

ATTENTION ALL STUDENT ARTISTS - The community is looking for your help and we would like to recognize your artwork in the community.  The artwork could be on display at the new state park.  Please come see Mr. Allen for more details.

SOS RUN - This year's SOS Run will take place on March 10th. Registration forms are available in the office.
